**About your new role**

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and high performing Head of Financial Crime Advisory to lead our Line 2 Financial Crime Advisory Function. This role reports into the General Manager, Financial Crime and can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Gold Coast.
- Lead the provision of advice to Line 1 teams on their AML/CTF, anti-bribery & corruption (ABC) and sanctions obligations, risks, new initiatives and any required remediation activities.
- Oversee and monitor Line 1 teams' compliance with financial crime policies (including the AML/CTF Program and ABC Policy), implementation of financial crime initiatives and remediation activities.
- Review and challenge Line 1 financial crime risk assessments and controls effectiveness.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements, innovation, and the use of best practice approaches to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Promote a strong financial crime risk awareness culture.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- At least 10 years' experience in a financial crime advisory, policy, assurance, compliance, or risk management role in a casino / gaming or wagering environment, bank, corporation, or government agency.
- A deep understanding of AML/CTF, ABC and sanctions legislation and regulations.
- Demonstrated success in influencing, leading and managing a financial crime team is essential.
- Experience in the casino and gaming, banking or a highly regulated industry is preferred.
- A proven track record of timely project delivery, overcoming hurdles and complex issues.
- A Comprehensive understanding of relevant statutory compliance and reporting requirements.
