**About this key leadership role**

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and high performing professional to lead our financial crime advisory function. This position reports into the General Manager, Financial Crime and can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Gold Coast.

**Responsibilities**

- Provide strategic advice to teams on their anti-money laundering (AML) / counter-terrorism financing (CTF), anti-bribery & corruption (ABC) and sanctions obligations, risks, new initiatives and required remediation activities.

- Oversee and monitor teams' compliance with financial crime policies, implementation of financial crime initiatives and remediation activities.

- Review and challenge teams' financial crime risk assessments and controls effectiveness.

- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, innovation, and best practice approaches to drive continuous improvement.

- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

- Promote a strong financial crime risk awareness culture.

**Requirements**

- At least 10 years' experience in a financial crime advisory, policy, assurance, compliance, or risk management role.
- Deep understanding of AML/CTF, ABC and sanctions legislation and regulations.
- Demonstrated success in influencing, leading and managing a financial crime team is essential.
- Experience in the casino and gaming, banking or highly regulated industry is preferred.
- Proven track record of timely project delivery, overcoming hurdles and complex issues.
