Our mining technologies provide surveying, design, fleet management, production optimization, and collision avoidance capabilities in a single, life-of-mine solution that connects people and processes, reduces costs, and improves safety and productivity at mine sites.The Position: Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Hexagon Mining, in a newly created role we are seeking a General Manager Southern APAC (including Australia, PNG, New Caledonia, and New Zealand).
This role will see you join our APAC leadership team, in a position pivotal to our strategic growth; To become a trusted partner with our customers, providing advanced technological solutions that support industry demands on mining production.In this role, you will be responsible for driving key growth objectives, developing a comprehensive sales strategy and growth plan that strengthens existing customer relationships while identifying new revenue streams to advance our market position in the evolving mining technology ecosystem.
As a senior leader, you will join a dedicated sales team, where you will be responsible for defining, leading, and evolving our ways of working by:Strategically responsible for the growth of the regionDeveloping a consultative, value-based sales frameworkPartnering across divisions to optimize sales opportunities and cross-functional collaborationEnsuring accuracy in forecasting, sales strategy execution, and pipeline managementProviding strengthened leadership & mentorship to grow career opportunities for your teamFostering a culture of leadership and cross-functional collaboration across diverse stakeholder groupsAbout You: This is a career-defining opportunity to bring your commercial leadership into a high-growth technology sector aligned with the future of mining.
We are looking for a sales/commercial executive with a proven track record in delivering successful sales strategies in businesses that have scaled from rapid growth to operational maturity.
You will be a key contributor to our growth trajectory in the Southern region, becoming a trusted advisor and strategic leader.What You BringTechnical Experience:Background in sales/business development within medium-scale businesses, ideally in Mining Technology, OEM, or consulting/services within the mining sectorStrong commercial acumen with full P&L responsibilityDemonstrated success in driving sales performance through process optimization and operational efficiencyProven experience leading small to medium-sized sales teams through growth and change, building cohesive, results-driven culturesDemonstrated success in growing business sales performance through optimizing sales process and improving divisional operating efficiencies.Leadership & Personal Attributes:Self-driven with strong time management and delivery focusAgile and adaptable to changing business or customer needsCustomer-centric and solution-focused, with a partnership mindsetCollaborative, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationshipsComfortable navigating dynamic, evolving environmentsPermanent Resident or Australian CitizenWhy Join Us?
