**About the OPPORTUNITY**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Specialist to join the SSN-AUKUS team located in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide or Perth, reporting to the Head of Supply Chain SSN-AUKUS.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

You will be responsible for the establishment, placement and management of the appropriate contracting arrangements with capable suppliers to deliver the cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

- Manage the category management activities associated with Facilities requirements collaborating with and providing category specific direction and advice to the and SSN-AUKUS team
- Manage category supplier negotiations and finalise supplier agreements in accordance with set procedures
- Leverage off enterprise category strategies and agreements where appropriate
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on category initiatives

**About YOU**
- Strong experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain
- Demonstrated experience in the development and negotiation of contracts with key suppliers
- Experience in development and execution of category management strategies across diverse portfolios
- A Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) would be highly regarded
- Ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations and deliver on commitments.
