About the role

We are currently looking for a dedicated Category Manager - Beauty to join our Merchandise team, located within our National Support Office in the Adelaide CBD.

In this role you will be responsible for;

  • Supporting category and supplier sales growth
  • Managing category margins, budgets and markdowns
  • Negotiating trading term agreements with suppliers
  • Driving category growth and identifying business opportunities
  • Implementing promotional programs

About you

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about our brands and the role we play within the communities we serve. You will demonstrate alignment with our company values of care, communicate, collaborate and celebrate and use these to inform how you deliver upon the role objectives to our members, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

You will have well developed communication and interpersonal skills, be thoughtful and organised in your approach, and provide exceptional customer service.

Your skills and experience;

  • Experience in a merchandise Beauty/Skincare category management role or similar high volume category role
  • Proven leadership skills focused on change management and organisational culture
  • Experience building ongoing business results
  • Proven analytical abilities
  • Competency in the Microsoft suite of products
  • Experience in negotiating supplier trading terms
  • Experience maintaining respectful and collaborative business partnerships with suppliers and internal customers.
