**THE OPPORTUNITY**

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Category Manger to join our collaborative national team. Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you will assist in driving innovation, sourcing and advertising meaningful ranges across several categories. This position is critical to maximising opportunities via partnerships with suppliers and Stratco manufacturing sites, as well as identifying trends and opportunities within the market.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support Category Managers to deliver product plans and sales goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve product performance through problem solving and development of category plans
- Assist in product selection and attend meetings with suppliers
- Maintain the category plans and manage data integrity
- Participate in regular category reviews, promotional planning, marketing sessions and pricing meetings
- Support the Store Development team in planogramming and producing the POP guide
- Support the production of the catalogue process
- Work closely with marketing to ensure plans are aligned with category plans

***ABOUT YOU**
- Excellent personal presentation
- Proven experience as a Junior Buyer, Buyer Assistant, or similar
- Ability to multitask and prioritise within a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders
- Strong Microsoft Office skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Tertiary education preferable but not essential
