ProDetec is seeking another experienced and self-motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing team.
This is an opportunity to take on a key commercial role within a company known for delivering high-performance solutions across industrial safety, process instrumentation, fire protection, emissions monitoring, water analysis, and more.We partner with leading global manufacturers to supply and support clients in oil & gas, mining, food & beverage, water, manufacturing, and chemical industries .
You'll be empowered to work across a broad portfolio of technologies — from gas detection and flame detection, to turbidity meters, microbiology monitoring, and static grounding systems.

In this role, you'll work closely with our Head of Sales , and a collaborative support team that enables you to focus on what you do best — engaging clients, solving problems, and delivering solutions.
You'll be focused on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, actively engaging the market, and driving growth through outbound prospecting, solution-based selling, and regular site visits.
Interstate travel is structured and planned monthly to support proactive business development efforts.Ideal Candidate: Proven experience in technical or solution-based salesBackground in instrumentation, process control, industrial safety, or fire protectionEngineering qualifications (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, etc.) are preferred but not essentialBased in Sydney , with flexibility for the right candidate in Melbourne or BrisbaneStrong communication and proposal skills; ability to engage at all organisational levelsExperience managing long-cycle technical sales with multiple stakeholdersProficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce)Comfortable working independently while contributing to a national teamWillingness to travel several days per month (pre-planned and strategic)What We Offer: Salary + Uncapped Commission + Car Allowance + SuperHealth and wellbeing benefits , including gym membership and performance bonusesFull training and mentoring on our complete product portfolioThe opportunity to represent technically advanced, non-commodity solutionsA strong internal support network and access to trusted, long-term client relationshipsRoom to grow within the business — into other solution areas, leadership, or technical specialisationRelocation support available for the right candidateInterested?
