As Head Chef, you'll lead kitchen operations across both Pumphouse Point and Derwent Bridge Hotel—an exciting opportunity to shape the identity of these venues through innovative menu development, hands-on leadership, and a commitment to excellence.
You will:Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high standards in food quality and presentationDevelop and execute seasonal menus that showcase the best of Tasmanian produceLead, mentor, and inspire your kitchen team, from hiring to ongoing developmentManage budgets & food costs, ensuring efficiency without compromising qualityMaintain compliance with food safety standards and best practicesWork collaboratively with other department heads to enhance the overall guest experienceWhat You'll BringExtensive hands-on experience in kitchen operations, including restaurants and function cateringA creative and innovative approach to menu planning and food presentationProven ability to lead and develop a high-performing kitchen teamStrong financial acumen, with experience in cost control & budgetingExceptional communication and teamwork skillsFood Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)A current drivers licence and personal car are essential living in a remote locationWhat's in it for you?
