**About the Opportunity**
Due to consistent growth across our business, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Waratah Engineering team in Argenton NSW 2284.

This role will see you oversee the Engineering team in the completion of engineering projects, hiring and training qualified engineering staff, setting Project budgets and timelines for completion, and helping run tests or trouble shoot engineering issues with current and prototype equipment.

Your responsibilities within this role will also include
- Assure that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines
- Day to day running of the Engineering department
- Maintain the engineering request for information process
- Provide Engineering and technical assistance and advice to customers, management, and workshop employees
- Provide feedback to the Management team on current issues with machines and provide recommendations to rectify these issues in current and future machines
- Involvement and control over Design risk assessments for new installations as required
- Oversee and mentor mechanical design and computers modelling
- Review engineering staff performance periodically as required
- Identify and implement machine improvements in the field.

**About You**
To be considered for this role, you will have:

- BA or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years related experience (underground mining equipment desirable)
- Thorough understanding of engineering theory and design criteria
- Thorough understanding of applied math and physics
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Proficient with computers - aided Drafting (CAD) software.
