**About the role**

The primary responsibility of the Human Resources Manager at Sun Engineering (Qld) Pty Ltd is the ongoing management of our people and people-processes across Australia and Papua New Guinea.

The major responsibilities of this role include recruitment and terminations, immigration between Australia and PNG, providing guidance and mentoring around industrial relations and the companies various Enterprise Agreements and employee performance review and management.

We are committed to providing solutions and achieving project outcomes for our clients in both a construction and manufacturing settings. Your investment in the role will be to guide Sun Engineering toward delivering staffing outcomes which meet our client's needs.

This role is based at our Head Office in Carole Park, where you will work as part of our corporate team, and you will have a number of subordinates under your direct management.
- You will provide advice to operational personnel and managers in relation to a range of HR/IR matters, including but not limited to the interpretation of awards and agreements, performance management, entitlements, national employment standards and more.
- In conjunction with members of the HR team, take a leadership role in developing and implementing strategies and processes for recruitment and onboarding for projects, and for the business in general.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal programs such as training, inductions, competency verification, and performance management protocols.
- Generalist HR employee lifecycle support.
- Develop, manage, and maintain management reports regarding people statistics and analysis.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of dedicated staff.

**Experience required**:

- Relevant qualifications supporting human resources management
- Minimum 5 years working experience in human resources
- Experience ideally in construction and manufacturing
