Reports to the Managing Director

**Responsible for**:

- Technical lead with all large rotating equipment, rewinds, failures, upgrades and route cause analysis
- Ensure timely delivery of large rotating plant overhauls and rewinds to meet client expectations
- Provide high level weekly progress updates on all project and critical repairs
- Ensuring the highest level of engineering quality and consistency across various departments is achieved
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients on a technical level ensuring ongoing business
- Train and maximise high level of employee performance through leadership and good performance management
- Driving a positive safety culture throughout the company
- Regular reporting and communication of department objectives, achievements and risk to the Managing Director
- Manage all technical documents to ensure that they are always up to date with the latest standards reports
- Developing, implementing and driving strategies to continually improve the process, cost efficiency and productive capability of the High Voltage testing to our customers
- Interpreting and reviewing technical data and drawings for High Voltage Coils and motor designs
- Interpreting, drawings and specifications, and providing advice on rewind and overhaul methods and procedures to achieve performance requirements
- Devising, implementing and assessing the engineering strategies and plans

**Key Requirements**:

- Electrical trade qualification with a minimum 25 years industry experience and with minimum 5 years in a Senior Management role
- Testing, fault finding, root cause of failure analysis and reporting, on site and in the work shop
- Financial management (costing, budgeting, forecasting, management of purchases)
- Performance management and succession planning
- Staff management, training, development and mentoring
- Hands on experience on large rewind projects onsite and in the workshop
- Solid technical understanding of large rotating equipment
- HV testing, fault finding, analysis and reporting on site and in the work shop
- Verify winding data, approve design, specifications and materials
- Rewind procedures to be updated to the latest technology and materials
- Vibration analysis Cert III with data interpretation and report writing
- Removal, installation and commissioning of all large rotating equipment, including motors, generators and turbines
- Proven experience in an executive leadership role within the motor repair industry
- Able to travel within Australia and South Pacific Rim to carry out onsite visits/ repairs to complex motors and or generators when required

**Salary**: From $80,383.97 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Seventeen Mile Rocks, QLD 4073: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
