The ClientSpencer Street Apartment in West Melbourne are designed to cater to the needs of travelers seeking comfortable, affordable, and convenient accommodations in the city.They are looking for an experienced Accommodation and Hospitality Manager join their growing team in Melbourne.The RoleThis role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the serviced apartments and providing an excellent experience for guests.This is a full-time position with an annual salary between $84,000 to $86,000 plus superannuation.ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the reservation system to ensure efficient booking processes and high levels of customer satisfactionSupervise the reception team, ensuring guest check-ins and check-outs are handled smoothly and professionally.Oversee room service operations, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery to guestsDirect housekeeping activities, ensuring all rooms and public areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintainedEnsure all operations comply with relevant laws and regulationsObserve and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of the hotel's operationsControl the selection, training, and supervision of staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their duties effectivelyEnsure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, promoting a safe work environmentHold regular meetings with staff to discuss operations, address issues, and share updatesImplement performance management processes for staff, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and conducting evaluationsManage and maintain lease agreements, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with contractual obligationsRequirementsAt least Diploma in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is often preferredAt least 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on hotel managementAt least 1 year of experience to lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluationAt least 1 year of experience in budgeting, financial planning, and cost controlStrong commitment to delivering exceptional customer serviceFamiliarity with relevant laws and regulations, such as those governing health and safety, and occupational hazardsExceptional organizational and planning skills, especially related to events and daily operationsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesAbility to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectivelyHigh attention to detail, particularly in quality control of servicesFamiliarity with reservation and property management systemsAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and adapt to changing situations
