Overview
HR Business Partner (Fixed-Term, 10 Months). We're seeking a collaborative and inclusive HRBP to join our team on a 10-month fixed-term contract, starting mid to late October 2025. This role is instrumental in supporting our teams in Australia while working closely with our global HR colleagues across multiple regions. The role reports to the HR Director based in the United States and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful, people-focused initiatives in a dynamic, international environment.
Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
Work closely with local leaders and global HR teams to align people strategies with evolving business needs.
Provide culturally aware and market-relevant HR advice tailored to the Australian context.
Support workforce planning, talent development, and organisational effectiveness initiatives.
Employee Experience & Compliance
Act as a trusted advisor on employment legislation, employee relations, and inclusive workplace practices.
Champion respectful workplaces and help resolve concerns with empathy and fairness.
Ensure alignment with the Fair Work Act, NES, and relevant local employment regulations and awards.
People Development & Performance
Support managers and team members with regular check-ins, performance discussions, and development plans.
Promote equitable access to learning, mentoring, and progression opportunities.
Support inclusive performance management practices that reflect our global values and local needs.
HR Operations & Collaboration
Oversee employee lifecycle moments: onboarding, job changes, exits with care and consistency.
Collaborate with Centres of Expertise (e.g., Talent, Learning, Reward) to deliver HR programs that are fair and accessible.
Contribute to local and global HR projects, bringing an inclusion lens to process and policy improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
At least 7+ years of progressive HR experience.
Degree or certification in Human Resources preferred.
Strong knowledge of HR practices, Australian employment laws, and HRIS (Workday experience a plus).
Proficient in key HR functions: recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, and policy development.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction, consulting, or professional services preferred.
