Human Resource Specialist

We are seeking a Human Resource Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of specialized and effective human resource practices through the coordination of an expert advisory and consultancy service.
The successful candidate will drive the development of workforce strategies and the associated organizational culture by leveraging workforce insights, accurate and well-maintained data, analytics, trend analysis, and benchmarking across the sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of human resource and employee relations professionals to effectively resolve complex people matters, including managing employee performance, suspected misconduct, excessive absenteeism, medical cases, and grievances, in alignment with legislative obligations.
- Developing innovative processes and ensuring feedback is sourced from key stakeholders to identify priorities and service deliverables for the team.
- Collaborating with leaders to create a performance culture that drives business objectives, employee experience, and risk mitigation.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience working in industrial relations in a highly unionized environment.
