- Canva is looking for a Paralegal to be part of our highly motivated, tight-knit, and collaborative global legal team. This role will be part of the Intellectual Property (IP) specialty team. The IP team supports Canva's Crazy Big Goals. We partner with teams across Canva to support the development and launch of new products, advise on the latest marketing campaigns, brand and content partnerships, global events like Canva Create and many more- We are looking for a motivated and passionate IP Paralegal to play a vital role in contributing to the fast, challenging and rewarding work we do in the IP specialty team.**What you'll do**:

- Monitor internal communication channels for legal requests and assign them to the team
- Undertake trademark clearance searches and assist with reviewing brand protection vendors' reports
- Develop & maintain legal resources such as presentations, playbooks and templates
- Partake in legal research and monitor legal and policy developments
- Support the day-to-day operations of the team, including digital filing, document management, coordinating electronic signatures and preparing presentation materials
- Provide database management support for our trade mark, patent, design and domain portfolios

**We'd love it if you have**:

- Experience as a Paralegal gained from a private practice firm or in-house
- Tech savviness and experience with (or the ability to learn) tools like Jira, Slack and Google Workspace
- A desire to be proactive, solve problems and make complex things simple
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with trade mark and/or patent management software
