Southern Cross Care QLD is looking for a proactive and self-directed
**Clinical Governance Business Partner **based at our Support Centre in Upper Mt Gravatt
**. **Reporting to the Chief of Quality and Governance, this role is integral in ensuring all regulatory and legislative requirements are met by our services. The role will support and enable the development, implementation and evaluation of quality care systems and continuous improvements in all service delivery streams to facilitate safe, high quality systems aligned to the requirements of the aged care regulatory framework, the NDIS framework and the retirement village regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading clinical governance, undertaking audits, risk assessments and analysis of reported outcomes and other clinical and risk data, and providing professional support and education in response to identified trends and organisational priorities to improve consumer experiences and outcomes.

**In this role you will need to**
- Demonstrate commitment to Southern Cross Care Queensland's vision and values.
- Build key relationships with relevant internal departments and external stakeholders to support growing communities where best lives are lived.
- Provide advice and support to community and residential aged care services to maintain and improve the SCCQ quality system to drive continuous improvement and enhance consumer experiences and outcomes.
- Analyse performance data and provide recommendations, including where appropriate, developing business cases to support implementation of agreed initiatives.
- Provide input into the review of gaps and development of quality tools and assurance products including Policy, Procedures/Guidelines, assessments and audit tools to support the quality framework.
- Undertake coordinated site and service support visits regularly to designated services to mentor and coach, review and enhance quality systems, embed continuous improvement opportunities and ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and National Standards for Disability.
- Monitor service quality through quality audits, reviews, gap analysis, surveys, internal service reviews, clinical reviews and quality data analysis. Prepare reports and recommendations in collaboration with site and other leaders.
- Lead clinical governance initiatives and participate in education and forums to share learnings and observations. This includes undertaking post implementation/training evaluation where indicated.
- Monitor clinical complaint management.
- Review policy, procedures and operational tools, providing input and feedback to improve and/or verify content. This includes recommending changes to policies and procedures to align service delivery model with the external requirements and policy changes.
- Review best practice guidelines and undertake research into best practice approaches.
- Participate as a member of Southern Cross Care's Care Governance and Quality Committee.

**To succeed in this role**,
**you will need to**:

- Be an **AHPRA registered** professional with a demonstrated understanding of quality management principles and practices in clinical setting.
- Have demonstrated leadership skills with capacity to communicate and influence as well as build trust across all levels of management, employees, volunteers, consumers and their representatives.
- Have demonstrated experience in the development of professional documentation including reports for the Board, Executives and regulatory agencies, business cases and other communication tools.
- Have proven analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Have demonstrated, or ability to quickly attain knowledge of contemporary theory and practice within the aged care sector, including knowledge of current legislative requirements and standards.
- Knowledge of or experience in National Disability Insurance Scheme operations would be desirable.
- You will be fully COVID 19 vaccinated and will maintain current influenza and COVID 19 vaccination status throughout your employment with SCCQLD._
