
Business Development Specialist

Our growing family business est.1977 is looking for someone to join our team based in Canberra to nurture our valued clients and grow our client base. We service the construction industry across 3 states and territories. Our goal is to be the most reliable supplier to our clients and be their undisputed favourite in view of achieving our company growth goals.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing existing & new opportunities - progressing the leads through the sales cycle.
- Maintaining our current client base & continuing to look for new client opportunities.
- Servicing Home Builders & their clients across NSW, ACT & VIC
- Travel to meet clients & build business relationships face to face
- travelling 2-3 days per week, mostly day trips, with a couple of overnight stays per month
To be considered for this role:

- Hold strong personal ethics and professional values to guide your business dealings.
- Have a keen eye for detail whilst always keeping an eye on the big picture.
- Enjoy the fast-paced style of the construction industry however value structure and organisation just as much.
- Be a self-starter who is systematic and meticulous with their documentation.
- Be service orientated and someone who is an effective communicator within a team.
- Be resilient and persistent

- Track record of success in a sales role
- Have a great phone manner & ability to build great relationships with clients over the phone.
- Have a willingness to learn & work hard to get a result best for the team.
- Construction industry or trade sales background_(preferred)_
A competitive salary package + superannuation, car allowance and phone will be negotiable dependent on your industry experience and/or formal qualifications.
