**Introduction**:
Dymocks Children's Charities (DCC) is an Australia - wide, tax deductible charity, established in 2000, providing brand new books of choice to pre-primary and primary school age children in priority locations. Our mission is to promote a love of reading and improve literacy outcomes for all Australian children.
We provide literacy support programs and work with teachers, carers and community centres to provide an environment where the benefits of reading are clear and there are the tools available to help more kids read.
**Description**:
The Role
As Fundraising & Events Coordinator you will, support Dymocks Children's Charities national and local fundraising initiatives and events, including executing national fundraising campaigns, managing Dymocks store donations and maintaining and nurturing existing and building new donor, volunteer and community relationships.
Reporting to the Fundraising & Events Manager your portfolio will include the following:
- Coordinate fundraising initiatives and campaigns in the areas of community, schools, stores, events, and appeals.
- Coordinate and support activities relating to ongoing and new DCC events, including the annual gala dinner
- Input and maintain donor data into CRM (Sales Force).
- Coordinate external event and community/ school fundraising.
- Source prizes and gifts to support fundraising event activities
- Produce external and internal collateral and documents to a high standard that are engaging and on brand.
- Liaise with internal departments and stakeholders to achieve objectives.
- General admin, coordination, and support to Fundraising Team.
- Grant writing
**Skills and Experiences**:
**The successful applicant will have**:
- 2+ years fundraising experience in community engagement/ fundraising/ events in NFP or charity sector
- Demonstrated success in broad community fundraising, events, marketing, and communications with a track record of achieving ambitious revenue targets within the not-for-profit and/or charities sector
- Ability to execute fundraising strategies
- Demonstrated success in grant writing
- Experience in the preparation of presentations to potential sponsors and at events when needed
- Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills with a proven ability to establish and nurture relationships
- Exceptional levels of written and verbal communication
- Ability to work autonomously while being part of a team
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite of products and Salesforce (CRM)
