**Description**:
Purpose
As an Operational Support Officer, you will play a critical role in providing essential support to SME's by performing a diverse range of administrative tasks. Your primary responsibility will be to liaise with and assist the operational team in fulfilling their administrative duties, ensuring that all operational processes run smoothly and efficiently.
The Operational Support Officer will be relied upon to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, while managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
**Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
Provide a range of administrative and support services, including records management, routine correspondence, and meeting and event coordination, to support the effective operation of the Employment and Training department
Collect and compile information for, and prepare documentation and correspondence in line with quality and organisational requirements, to support information flow and inform decision making
Respond to enquiries, and escalate and redirect issues
Administration support for operational teams including WFA and DES
Answer contract related queries, lodge helpdesk tickets and work in collaboration with the RSS Team to ensure timely support is provided to our service partners
Support the operations team in project related tasks, administration and research
**Skills and Experiences**:
Personal Attributes
Strong written communication skills
Demonstrated time management and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate and positively engage with all internal and external stakeholders building positive working relationships
The ability to work as a part of a small team whilst managing individual tasks and duties
Well-developed administrative and organisational skills, coupled with strong attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities
Required Experience
Experience with employment services data
Intermediate excel skills (basic formulas, vlook ups etc)
Understand Workforce Australia (WFA) or DES contracts
Experience understanding and interpreting guideline requirements
Demonstrated capability in managing sensitive and highly confidential information
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
Experience in employment services
Qualifications in administration
