About the Role

Nexus Traffic Australia are looking for an Operations Support Officer to join our growing operations in Southeast Queensland.

The purpose of this position is to facilitate the timely delivery of traffic management to support the scheduled and reactive works. Collaborating with a dynamic team to ensure efficient operations

Key Responsibilities
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and experience liaising with a broad range of stakeholders, management and employees
  • Develop and maintain excellent client relationships
  • Provide leadership and direction to team members
  • Supervise staff and identify areas where training is required
  • Management and control of traffic vehicles, signage and associated equipment/stocks
  • Where required interview and carry out reference checks on new or prospective employees
  • Ensure all personnel are company inducted
  • Demonstrated knowledge in time management, prioritization and planning skills in order to effectively complete tasks within timeframes
  • Effective collaboration and resolution skills to effectively problem-solve prior to escalating to management for resolution
  • Liaise and communicate on a regular basis with existing clients regarding work orders, client requirements and to maintain the relationships and ensure services and personnel are being utilised efficiently and to maximum potential
  • Review and be familiar with all Workplace Health & safety obligations
  • Assist and support the operational activities of the group
  • Carry out site and client visits on a regular basis to ensure client satisfaction with resources supplied and to source opportunities for further and future works
  • Carry out site/external and internal audits
  • Complete Site inspections, vehicle audits and drug testing
  • Plans and permit submissions to local authorities, QPS & DTMR
  • Work directly alongside our Operations team
  • Ability to understand the requirements of a project & ensure the correct permits are in place for the project to commence and renewal of permits
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel
  • Current QLD licenses (TC & Drivers License)(TMI preferred)
