When big news happens, viewers turn to the big screen for the facts, for clarity and for independent eyewitness journalism. The TV News output is the spine of Sky News' multi platform non stop news service.

What you'll do:

- Lead a team of Output Editors, Assistant OEs and Producers to deliver sharp, engaging storytelling that harnesses the best of Sky News' independent eye witness journalism.
- Develop new formats and new ways of engaging audiences both on linear and digital spaces
- Ensure Sky News production teams work at the highest standards of television news production, adopting new technology and journalism skills
- Inspire, develop and support a large team of production staff to be the best in the business while delivering non stop video based news
- Create an inclusive culture where everyone can generate and implement ideas feeling part of a first class news team

What you'll bring:

- A track record in strong editorial judgement and a thorough knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues
- A clear strategic vision for the future of tv news journalism and its place in the Sky News multiplatform newsroom
- Strong communication skills and ideas on how to lead a large team rostered across 7 days and 24 hours.
- A strong eye for visual story telling
- Extensive leadership experience and proven resilience with ideas of how to lead in difficult times
