The Animal Referral Hospital in Wollongong is looking for Emergency Vet Nurses to join our close-knit team that is dedicated to the best possible patient outcomes.Animal Referral Hospital Wollongong is a well-established small animal emergency hospital, we provide emergency and overnight care for the entire Illawarra region and pride ourselves on offering the highest standard of patient care.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeProvide nursing care to critically ill and injured patients during the busy summer months coming our way
Collaborate with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective emergency treatmentsMonitor patients closely, administer medications, and assist with medical procedures as neededMaintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocolsOffer support and guidance to pet owners during stressful situationsOur Ideal Candidate Will HaveCert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalentPrevious experience with complex emergency casesAbility to provide high quality patient care even in busy conditionsStrong communication skillsFriendly, team player attitudeFlexibility to work across days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating rosterA passion for continuous education and upskillingStrong attention to detail with ability to multitaskWe Can OfferCasual, Part-time or Full-time hours availableRostering to support a work-life balanceDiscounts on pet products and servicesFree on-site parking and close to public transportLeave entitlements - 4 weeks annual leave, personal/sick leave, carers leave (all leave benefits as per award)Continuous education programFree annual influenza vaccinationFree access to confidential Employee Assistance Program LifeWorks 24/7Join us and make a difference in the lives of pets and their families when they need it most.
