OverviewThe Animal Referral Hospital in Wollongong is looking for Emergency Vet Nurses to join our close-knit team that is dedicated to the best possible patient outcomes. Animal Referral Hospital Wollongong is a well-established small animal emergency hospital; we provide emergency and overnight care for the entire Illawarra region and pride ourselves on offering the highest standard of patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to critically ill and injured patients during busy periods.
- Collaborate with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective emergency treatments.
- Monitor patients closely, administer medications, and assist with medical procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
- Offer support and guidance to pet owners during stressful situations.
- Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
- Previous experience with complex emergency cases
- Ability to provide high quality patient care even in busy conditions
- Strong communication skills
- Friendly, team player attitude
- Flexibility to work across days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
- A passion for continuous education and upskilling
- Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask
