Job OverviewAs an Emergency Vet Nurse at our state-of-the-art facility, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to critically ill and injured patients during busy periods. Your skills and experience will enable you to work collaboratively with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective emergency treatments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality patient care, even in challenging situations
- Collaborating with veterinarians to develop and implement treatment plans
- Monitoring patients closely, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures as needed
- Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols
- Offering support and guidance to pet owners during stressful situations
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Certification IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
- Previous experience working with complex emergency cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work across days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays
- A commitment to continuous education and upskilling
- Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask
