Emergency Vet Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Vet Nurse to join our dedicated team.

Our hospital provides emergency and overnight care for the entire region, offering the highest standard of patient care. As an Emergency Vet Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering timely and effective treatments to critically ill and injured patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to critically ill and injured patients during busy periods
  • Collaborate with our skilled veterinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Monitor patients closely, administer medications, and assist with medical procedures as needed
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
  • Offer support and guidance to pet owners during stressful situations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
  • Previous experience with complex emergency cases
  • Ability to provide high-quality patient care even in busy conditions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Friendly, team player attitude
  • Flexibility to work across days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
  • A passion for continuous education and upskilling
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask
