About the team and role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Conference Producer at Reed Exhibitions (RX) within our passionate and creative conference production team.
Working within a close-knit, fun and growing team, this role's prime purpose is to create conference education programs for a number of major exhibitions across Australia including Energy, and Mining, and Retail You will be responsible for in-depth industry research, keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends, building rapport with potential speakers & key event partners and working closely with our Event Production, Marketing, Sales and Operations team to produce market-leading conference programs.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Research with industry professionals by phone and face to face to analyse important trends and extract critical information to write and develop quality driven conference programs.
- Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends, changes and needs of our attendees, speakers, supporters and event sponsors/exhibitors.
- Sourcing, inviting and confirming industry thought leaders to present.
- Effectively communicating with senior thought leaders and industry partners to bring together impactful speakers and sessions.
- Work effectively with the core project team, including the Event Director, Marketing, Sales, Event Production and Operation teams to help facilitate the management and implementation of the conference.
- Delivering the conference, at times across multiple stages, within a busy and high paced show environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Preferably some exposure or experience in the Events/Exhibition Industry.
- A minimum of 1 years' experience producing commercial B2B conferences.
- Able to spot trends, present ideas and see opportunities.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent research, analytical and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and build rapport with potential speakers, key event partners and attendees at all levels.
- Demonstrate good organisational and time management skills and deliver projects within specified timelines.
- Ability to multi-task on many different projects in different development phases with high attention to detail.
- Systems savvy with basic to intermediate: MS Office skills.
- A team player who is proactive and self-motivated.
