Reporting to the Head of Casualty Claims this role will lead a national team and will be based in Sydney.
**There are four key components to the role (a full position description is available on request), they are**:
**Nurturing Teams to Excel**
- Leading and coaching the claims team, providing feedback and role-model values.
- Manage HR lifecycle: recruitment, administration, performance management, cessation.
- Oversee team workload and ensure efficient claims service delivery.
- Develop and implement claims team KPIs, policies, and processes; support professional development.
**Deliver on our Customer Mission**
- Monitor and address customer feedback, maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and manage customer complaints and disputes.
- Prepare reports to meet the needs of key customer groups and internal stakeholders.
**Grow Sustainably and Create Mutual Value**
- Ensure adherence to claims philosophy, provide timely High-Risk Claims reports, and monitor financial trends.
- Represent Casualty claims at industry functions, ensuring compliance and alerting management of risks.
- Track regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with Casualty claims standards and practices.
**Regulatory, Reporting & Compliance**
- Ensure regulatory compliance, complete mandatory training on time, and meet underwriting policy responsibilities.
- Perform tasks to required standards, adhering to key policies and procedures.
- Disclose mistakes or unmet commitments promptly, assisting with remedial actions when necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of RG 271, consumer protection laws, AFCA approaches, and industry codes of practice.

- The Casualty Claims portfolio here at Guild Insurance is largely made up of professional lines, with a small amount of public and product liability. If you've come from this space then of course that experience will be highly regarded however we are (short or long-tail).
