The Role

As the Commercial Claims Team Leader, you will oversee the end-to-end claims function, ensuring fair, timely, and efficient outcomes for our broker and client partners. You'll lead a team of claims specialists, drive operational excellence, and uphold the highest standards of compliance and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of commercial claims handlers
  • Manage complex and high-value claims, providing expert guidance
  • Ensure consistent application of claims policies and best practices
  • Monitor performance against service levels and quality standards
  • Collaborate with underwriting teams to share insights and trends
  • Build strong relationships with brokers, clients, and service providers
  • Represent the claims function in internal and external forums

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in commercial claims, including complex cases
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a claims environment
  • Strong knowledge of claims processes, legal principles, and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
