You will be working collaboratively in a team environment to improve all aspects of the LSU (Landcare Services Unit).
We are seeking a driven and experienced Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of the Landcare Services business operations at B4C.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the LSU, initiating tendering works, assessing operational capacity, managing logistics, and ensuring the successful completion of environmental projects.

Organisational background
B4C is a long-standing and well-regarded not-for-profit Catchment and Landcare group.
We are dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of both Bulimba Creek and the wider SEQ's natural environment.
We work to protect and enhance natural bushland and waterways, particularly in the urban context.
The B4C operates a professional LSU that specialises in contracts to undertake ecological rehabilitation work for diverse clients, including governments, government-owned businesses, other companies, and private stakeholders.
This social enterprise helps to both fund and provide operational support for our catchment and environmental initiatives.
This position works closely with and reports to the B4C Catchment Manager
Job Details
Location of office/Depot: Wright Street, Carindale, Brisbane, Qld 4152.
Term: Full-time salary – 37.5 hours per week.
Initial: 6 months full-time with conversion to permanent after satisfactory review.
Working Hours: 7.5 hours per day and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Typically, 7.00 am to 3.00 pm.
Work Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work as required, with time in lieu as negotiated.
Commencement: Negotiable, preferably by September 2025.
Remuneration: Highly competitive salary, aligning with industry standards, negotiable.

Key Accountabilities
Provide a professional business focus to managing a Landcare team.
Review and improve work practices, in collaboration, to improve the operations and capabilities of the field unit.
Build Client relations and services.
Seek to adequately service existing clients and seek new clients.
Provide Specialised Ecological Services and achieve biodiversity plus business outcomes.
Build on, and improve, existing reputation of the Landcare Services Unit.
Work collaboratively with both B4C catchment staff and regular volunteers
Skills & Experience
Position requires excellent communication, technical, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or alternative—e.g. degree in ecology, conservation & land management, environment, or a relevant related discipline.
Proven experience in a similar operations and business management role.
Knowledge of Landcare services and project management.
Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations.
Demonstrated experience in client initiation and management.
