**About the Opportunity**

Located at our South Brisbane factory, this full time opportunity will appeal to a highly motivated individual to bring drive and capability to the business. The performance of our 24 hour operation relies heavily on an efficient Laboratory. The role of the Laboratory Coordinator is therefore pivotal to the success of the operation.

Reporting to the Compliance Manager your key responsibilities will include:

- Provide supervision to the Laboratory staff (including managing performance & development, conduct and behaviour).
- To provide a timely communication of results of all testing and analysis to internal and external customers.
- To ensure the provision of an efficient and reliable testing service in accordance with approved methods.
- Assist where appropriate the implementation of corporate laboratory methods, sampling plans and standardised reporting to the South Brisbane site.
- Periodically review laboratory performance against a defined set of measures. They shall be based on but not limited to, calibration and testing accuracy, result traceability, customer service, budget compliance and continuous improvement incorporating corrective and preventative action.
- Participate in HACCP Audits/Reviews and Internal Audits.
- tertiary qualified (Degree in Food Science) or have a Certificate IV in Food Processing,
- Specific knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and HACCP is also required.
- Ideally experience with SAP
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- the ability to build effective internal and external relationships is also critical to this position.
