Job Description:

The Laboratory Supplies Coordinator will be responsible for providing high quality customer service to staff and students. This role is the initial point of contact for the supply and distribution of laboratory consumables, including chemicals and associated materials.

This position plays a key role in supporting the management of the University's chemical store by assisting in ordering, receiving, stocktakes, picking and supply of chemical orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of the University's chemical store
  • Provide high quality customer service to staff and students
  • Support the supply and distribution of laboratory consumables, including chemicals and associated materials
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education, training or relevant experience equivalent to an associate diploma level qualification
  • Demonstrated basic chemical knowledge within a storage and warehouse environment relating to the handling and storage of hazardous materials, including segregation of incompatible classes
  • Proven success in providing a quality customer-focused service to a diverse customer base
  • Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with colleagues in a team environment utilizing well-developed interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated digital literacy skills with the ability to maintain electronic and financial records with a high degree of accuracy
