**The Role**:
Kotahi Consulting have been engaged to identify a Safety Coordinator to lead safety initiatives on a major civil infrastructure project for the ADF. Reporting the Project Safety Manager, you will lead a small team of Advisors and Administrators to ensure construction activities comply with standards and regulations. Key responsibilities will include:

- Lead a team of Advisors and Administrators to implement and oversee safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company, client and industry standards and regulations
- Provide safety training and guidance to employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents and near misses and develop strategies for prevention.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to promote a culture of safety excellence.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.

**To be considered**:
To be considered for this role you will possess:

- Australian Citizenship with previous experience in a similar role within a tier 1 or 2 civil construction contractor
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative management style.
- Ability to lead a small team of Advisors and Administrators.
- Experience on Australian Defence projects would be advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
