These roles are crucial in delivering key government initiatives and supporting strategic and operational outcomes across a range of projects and programs.About the RolesAPS6 Project Officers play a vital role in supporting project delivery, including coordination, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and providing sound advice to project leads and senior executives.EL1 Project Managers lead complex projects or components of larger initiatives.
They are responsible for planning, resource coordination, risk management, team leadership, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.APS6 Project Officers:Support the development and delivery of project plans and documentationMonitor project progress and contribute to status reportingEngage with internal and external stakeholders to support project outcomesAssist in risk identification, analysis, and mitigation activitiesDraft correspondence, briefing materials, and reportsEL1 Project Managers:Lead or manage significant projects or workstreams, ensuring alignment with departmental objectivesDevelop and implement project governance frameworksIdentify, assess, and manage project risks and issuesLead stakeholder engagement and manage interdependencies across teamsPrepare high-quality documentation, reports, and ministerial briefsIdeal Candidates Will Have:Strong project management skills and experience in complex, fast-paced environmentsKnowledge of APS processes and frameworks (e.g., PGPA Act, risk management, procurement)Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFor EL1 roles: experience leading teams and managing project delivery end-to-endFormal qualifications in project management will be highly regarded.How to ApplyTo express your interest, please submit the followingA current CVA brief statement outlining your suitability for the role, including relevant experience and capabilitiesPlease note - only shortlisted candidates will be contacted as opportunities arise.At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
