Speech Pathologist - Community Rehabilitation Program
Join the Speech Pathologist - Community Rehabilitation Program role at Eastern Health.
Overview: We are seeking an experienced speech pathologist to join our Community Rehab team to cover 8 weeks long service leave.
You will be available part time or full time (3-5 shifts per week) from Monday to Friday.
Work in a supportive multidisciplinary team focusing on short term rehab with clients in their home, our centre or via telehealth.
Your caseload will include a wide range of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive disorders.
You will independently manage your clinical work with support from a senior speech pathologist and a team leader.
In early 2026 there may be a further extended period of cover due to other long service leave backfill.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Eligibility for practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia
An established track record of highly developed interpersonal skills
A strong commitment to high quality care
Ability to set relevant rehabilitation short term goals with your clients
The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
