Davidson are currently partnering with a reputable client in the Banking and Financial Services sector to recruit a skilled Product Owner. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a backend product within a flexible and innovative environment.

This position offers a 12-month day rate contract with hybrid working flexibility and office location in Melbourne CBD.

Key Responsibilities:

- Champion the development and execution of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring they resonate with business objectives and customer demands, resulting in unparalleled growth and profitability.
- Forging strong partnerships with stakeholders, from business leaders to developers and designers, leveraging these relationships to prioritise features and enhancements that boost product performance and exceed customer expectations.
- Crafting and refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items, delivering clarity and direction to cross-functional teams, igniting productivity and efficiency.
- Leading regular reviews and retrospectives, harnessing feedback and performance metrics to continually enhance product development processes, driving towards excellence and market leadership.
- Be the go-to expert for all product-related queries, providing unwavering guidance, support, and swift resolutions, ensuring seamless delivery and unparalleled customer satisfaction.

About You:

- You will have experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably within the Banking and Financial Services industry, you possess an innate understanding of backend product development processes i.e. microservices, APIs
- Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are your superpowers, allowing you to seamlessly collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making at every turn, driving momentum and securing buy-in.
- A master of translating business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, your attention to detail is unparalleled, ensuring every aspect of the product journey is meticulously planned and flawlessly executed.
- Armed with robust analytical prowess, you're adept at leveraging data-driven insights to refine product strategy, prioritise features, and optimise performance, propelling your products to new heights of success.
