**The Role**:
Our **Payroll Manager
- Global** is our in-house payroll and remuneration expert, overseeing and leading our global payroll remit across 8 jurisdictions. Reporting to our Group Head of People and Culture in Melbourne, you will be joining our People and Culture (P&C) team that fosters collaboration and diversity and be working on various payroll tasks ensuring compliance and tax obligations are met. While this is a hands-on role, you will be supported by our Payroll officer in Cyprus, Finance team members and local payroll vendors in respective jurisdictions for quality payroll outcomes for our people and improving operational efficiencies.

To thrive in this role, you'll have previous experience in a fast-paced environment where change is a constant and you're comfortable managing multiple priorities at once You'll also be excited at the prospect of learning new payroll jurisdictions - we have offices across Australia, UK, Europe, Dubai, Kenya, Bahamas and Chile.

While most of the P&C team members in Australia are based in Melbourne, we are open to considering suitable applicants from other locations within Australia.

**Your day-day responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Timely processing of Australian and global monthly payrolls, including overseeing or assisting with payrolls in Chile, Cyprus, UK, Germany, Dubai, The Bahamas, and Kenya, ensuring accurate data and reporting.
- Processing payroll matters for new employees, exits and redundancies with support from the P&C team.
- Overseeing, assisting and resolving payroll queries raised by Pepperstone team members.
- Managing relationships with multiple payroll and related vendors.
- Providing a high standard of customer service, prioritizing timeliness, accuracy, and personable interactions.
- Undertaking periodical, month/year-end payroll tasks and lodgments.
- Maintaining regulatory compliance as mandated by local and governing agencies, with support from local office contacts.
- Staying up to date with relevant legislation, receiving support as needed.
- Conducting a variety of internal and external reporting tasks.
- Assisting with the interpretation of legislation in collaboration with the P&C team.
- Continuously developing payroll processes, automating and optimizing them wherever possible.
- Providing remuneration management recommendations and working with the Group Head of People & Culture to manage the company equity scheme.
- Assisting with further development of payroll processes, automating and optimizing where possible.

**About You**:

- Demonstrated experience as a senior payroll/remuneration specialist in Australia.
- Experience working in medium to large businesses (min. 250 employees) with ability to thrive in a high volume and fast paced business.
- Experience in researching and managing end to end change and improvements within the payroll space with a great attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency in organization of workload, assembling stakeholders, and planning and working to deadlines.
- Ability to acquire a functional level of knowledge and payroll requirements across multiple jurisdictions outside of Australia.
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience leading others (preferred).
- Ability to be available across time zones on an ad hoc basis (ex: during payroll cycles).
- Experience dealing with payroll regulations outside of Australia (desirable).
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
