**YOUR OPPORTUNITY**
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Team Leader to join our high performing team based out of our Scoresby office. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of purchasing officers to actively manage procurement for our major vendors Nationally.
Your primary focus is to ensure timely availability of inventory, DIFOT reduction, and reduced SLOB stock exposure.
The team will be responsible for completing tasks such as replenishment process, stock availability, accurately managing supplier data and records, and ensuring purchase orders are aligned to inventory records.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead a team to support the development of strategic procurement responsibilities to deliver products to our customers in line with business KPIs and commitments
- Develop strategic vendor relationships to create sustainable procurement pipelines to deliver sales growth and volume to meet our customer needs
- Lead a team to build and strengthen business and supplier relationships, to monitor the performance of procurement activities which optimise product and price opportunities
- Developing analytical and reporting capabilities to improve stock availability
- Lead by example aligning management style to Blackwoods Behaviours: Customer First, Boldness, Accountability, Integrity, and Openness
- Conduct performance reviews and development planning with all direct reports to clearly identify targets, and opportunities for career development and succession planning
To be successful, you will have:
- Substantial Purchasing experience in area of expertise to a fully competent level
- Previous experience with managing strategic client & customer relationships to maintain customer satisfaction
- Can demonstrate bringing organisation values to life and how they have been embedded into teams previously
- Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives, with strong people management skills and a solution focused approach
- A good understanding of forecasting processes, as well as highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field will be highly regarded
