The Role
Sanitarium is seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications Manager - Internal & External Channels - to lead, ideate, create and deliver integrated communications plans and content that inspire, inform, engage and influence across our Trans-Tasman communications touch points and channels. This key role sits within our Marketing & Communications team and reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs & Communications ANZ.
Leading a small team, and working collaboratively with our New Zealand team, you'll be responsible for shaping and delivering internal and external communications strategies and content that tells the story of Sanitarium's products, people and purpose, enhances the reputation of Sanitarium and its brands, strengthens employee engagement. You'll work to ensure clear, aligned messaging across all internal and external stakeholder groups and all Sanitarium communications channels.
**What You'll Do**:
- Lead a team of passionate communications professionals and ideate and execute communications content strategy across internal and external channels.
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans that support business objectives, meet business needs, amplify our brand and purpose, and connect with diverse audiences.
- Create compelling storytelling content across internal and external communications, social, print, and live formats - including speeches, videos, publications, eDMs, media releases, briefs, articles, scripts, presentations and executive communications.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders, internal teams, and external stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.
- Support corporate publications, events, PR responses, intranet and digital platforms, and channel performance.
About You
You're the ultimate storyteller - able to maximise every opportunity and channel to tell our Sanitarium stories with care, heart and interest. You're a confident, experienced and strategic communicator who knows how to craft messages that connect, engage, and influence. You thrive in a collaborative environment, thrive balancing creativity with strategic planning, and are equally comfortable writing a compelling story, advising senior leaders, or leading a high-performing team to communications outputs across every channel. With strong experience of delivering integrated internal and external communications strategies, you're passionate about purpose-led work and bring a proactive, hands-on approach to delivering impactful campaigns and content across a broad range of audiences to drive action and awareness.
- A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 6-10+ years' experience in a mid-to-senior level communications role, ideally within a values-based or purpose-led organisation.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills across formats.
- Strong capability in digital and integrated communications strategy and execution.
- Experience managing and mentoring team members and working cross-functionally in a matrixed or complex environment.
- High emotional intelligence and confidence advising senior leaders.
- Media or PR experience a plus.
