Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our fleet and asset management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, compliance, safety, and security of our fleet.

The Fleet Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of reliability, availability, condition, and life of assets while minimizing maintenance costs. They will provide strategic leadership in relation to fleet and asset management practices and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulation, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective asset management systems and processes to deliver required outcomes.
  • Provide advice and guidance on fleet and asset management best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Sydney Metropolitan Bus System Contracts (SMBSC).
  • Manage the development and implementation of the annual Asset Management Plan and Annual Works Plan.
  • Lead the fleet and asset management budget planning process.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the fleet asset management team and operational teams.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of asset maintenance, refurbishments, and repairs to meet NHVR requirements, safety standards, and operational requirements.
Requirements:
  • Trade or engineering qualification with an MR License.
  • Proven experience in asset management with a strategic project leadership capability.
  • Strong technical expertise in heavy vehicle maintenance and ability to build partnerships with stakeholders.
