The Role

**Responsibilities**:
**Requirements**:
- Demonstrate excellent understanding of fundamental principles and problem solving.- Excellent technical writing skills are required, as are exemplary engineering/scientific problem-solving abilities.- Applicants must have experience in a number of the following areas; Safety Case Authoring; Safety Studies (supporting Formal Safety Assessment / Risk Management, including consequence assessment, Evacuation, Escape and Rescue Analysis and Emergency Systems Survivability Analysis; Understanding of Fire and Explosion Dynamics; Quantitative Risk Assessment (DNV Safeti experience desirable); ALARP Demonstration; Safety Management Systems; Performance Standards and Bowtie Analysis.

**Qualifications**:
- Degree (Master's and/or PhD) in an engineering or science discipline.- Basic programming skills and knowledge of statistical techniques would be an advantage.
