**Job Overview:** The Safety Manager leads and directs safety management for operational activities.
This role involves leading a team to implement a corporate safety management system.
You will manage consultants and contractors, respond to safety issues, and develop improvement plans.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead a diverse team to promote strong employee and contractor safety practices.
- Manage on-site consultants and contractors.
- Manage all incident responses and investigations.
- Liaise with external regulators and organisations on safety issues.
**Requirements:**
- A relevant tertiary qualification in health or environmental management.
- Formal training and qualification in auditing and incident investigation.
- Significant experience (15+ years) in safety management of heavy industry businesses.
- A strong track record of safety stewardship.
