Market Expansion Leader
We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our Competition and Data Intelligence, Risk Advisory, Cyber & Data Governance practice groups.
This role offers the perfect blend of challenge and variety, allowing you to further develop your strategic business development skills. You will have the opportunity to work closely with industry-leading partners to shape and implement the strategic direction of the practice groups.
Key Responsibilities
Strategically managing the Competition and Data Intelligence, Risk Advisory, Cyber & Data Governance practice groups in alignment with the Firm's strategic objectives;
Collaborating with senior stakeholders to identify and proactively pursue growth opportunities;
Identifying, planning, and executing specific client engagement opportunities.
You will be responsible for:
Leading pitches/pursuits for new and existing clients for the partners sitting in the Advisory, Risk, and Regulation Stream and supporting on firm-wide opportunities;
Managing/supporting individual client relationship development for practice area, stream, and Firm clients;
Supporting the development and marketing of emerging products and service areas and responsibility for a number of industry-focused initiatives/pursuits;
Driving market profile raising, including providing a source of market/industry insight to key stakeholders and supporting content creation and engagement with media;
Mentoring and leading team members;
Working with the wider team to implement the Firm's Strategy, including supporting on other business-critical projects across the business;
Communicating the vision and purpose of C&M within the Firm to heighten its understanding of the role of C&M as trusted advisors.
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualifications (business/legal/finance) coupled with legal/client development experience gained ideally from a professional services environment;
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and proactively;
Excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate;
Strong project management skills and a proactive, pragmatic style;
Proven leadership skills;
People/team management skills;
Resilience and self-motivation, able to work to competing deadlines with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.
