A full-time permanent opportunity has arisen within our Property Services team to undertake the role of **Occupational Health and Safety Manager**.
In this role, you will report to the Portfolio Operations Manager and will be responsible for the organisational delivery of Occupational Health & Safety across Hawaiian and its related entities.
**Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following**_: _**
- Ensure all incidents are reported and closed out in accordance with relevant procedures
- Assess each incident report for content, accuracy and consistency and assign tasks for follow-up, together with monitoring their timely close out
- Manage, and supervise as necessary, the investigation of accidents and unsafe conditions, study possible causes and recommend remedial action
- Ensure that all "Incident Reports" are entered into the "RAP" system in a timely matter
- Maintain a risk management process using the Corporate and Asset Risk Registers for identifying and managing risk and hazards - identification, assessment and control using the company Risk Matrix
- Undertake regular risk assessments across the Company in Property Operations - operating assets, facility management etc.
- Maintain and further implement the company policies and procedures based on the framework of ISO 45001 to maintain the Hawaiian Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS)
- Ensure regular review and update of OH&S procedures to codes, legislation and standards and communicate to staff as required
- Partner with the GM, HR to assist in identifying appropriate training programs in OH&S. Develop a 12-month training schedule dealing with OH&S/risk education
- Prepare a detailed monthly report for the Risk & Audit Committee (RAC) outlining, among other things; incidents, hazards, actions taken, compliance activities, audits etc. together with progress towards KPI's, objectives etc.
- Conduct audits and inspections identifying hazards and unsafe conditions and work practices, recommending control measures
- Undertake the OHSMS internal audit as per schedule and work with Operations team to resolve and improve compliance with the OHS procedures.

**Required Skills and Attributes**
- Diploma or above in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- A thorough understanding of all relevant WA Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point (intermediate to advanced level skills essential).
- A current driver's license.

**Preferred Skill and Attributes**
- Ability to lead an organisation through safety matters via communication, presentations and resolution
- Skilled in developing, implementing and maintaining systems, with a preference for ISO 45001
- Well-developed planning and organisation skills including the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple deadlines whilst delivering accurate and quality work
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities, the need for improvement and implement change
- Demonstrated initiative with the ability to exercise judgment and resolve issues independently
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
