Job Overview:

We are seeking a recent or imminent graduate in Occupational Health and Safety to join our team as an Occupational Health and Safety Administrator on a part-time basis.

  • Record and follow up closure of corrective actions in the safety database.
  • Coordinate and conduct monthly safety audits; record improvement recommendations and follow up action closures.
  • Review and record safe system of work processes such as permit to works, isolation confirmations, and controlled live entry forms.
  • Enter Hazard IDs into Skytrust and assign to relevant departments for action.
  • Ensure Hazard ID statistics are entered into monthly spreadsheets for KPIs, safety committee, and team leader meetings.
  • Upload flash reports onto ScreenCloud.
  • Book GP and physiotherapy appointments and enter them into the calendar.
  • Perform scanning and data entry tasks.
  • Maintain the Safety Management System with current data and information.
  • Schedule and coordinate site visitor inductions and visits.
  • Create safety training materials and resources.
  • Maintain inventory control for safety stock items.
  • Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) validity and availability.
  • Support ad hoc safety-related projects as required.
  • Arrange calibration of equipment, new trial equipment, and service providers to assist with projects.
  • Collaborate with experienced safety professionals to ensure compliance and best practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
