The primary role of the Transport Officer / Receptionist includes and is not limited to:

- Work as part of a team with other health professionals and develop and foster positive working relations with clients and community
- Foster a professional environment through delivering culturally safe services to Nunkuwarrin Yunti clients
- Provide transport service for clients of Nunkuwarrin Yunti Health Service to attend our clinics and specialist services
- Provide services for pick-up and drop-off of clients to and from appointments arranged through Nunkuwarrin Yunti
- Assist with the up-keep and maintenance of statistical data
- Assist with the up-keep and maintenance of vehicle fleet
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of all clients and visitors to the service by not sharing personal information without authorisation to do so

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**ESSENTIAL -**includes qualifications, skills, experience and knowledge
- Hold a full current and valid SA Driver License
- Hold or be working towards First Aid Certificate
- Extensive knowledge of metropolitan Adelaide road and Public transport routes

**DESIRABLE**
- Hold or willing to undertake training in Certificate 3 in Non-Emergency Patient Transport
- A minimum of a Certificate 2 in Business Administration (Medical) or a minimum 1-3 years of experience working in a similar role
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and communities
- Experience in using Communicare or similar Patient Information Recall System
- Experience working within the clinical field and dealing with client files and confidential information
- Previous experience using a multi-line switchboard working on reception and dealing with members of the public
- Experience in using MS Office Suite packages
