Overview

Samra Transport Service is a national linehaul logistics company, based in Adelaide and operating in both the ambient and refrigerated logistics arenas across Australia. We operate 30+ prime movers as well as trailing equipment, with further access to a team of sub-contract operators, utilised as workload fluctuates throughout the year.

We are currently seeking a full-time dedicated Transport Operations Scheduler. Reporting directly to the management team this role's primary responsibility is to plan, allocate and manage the day to day linehaul scheduling as well as local final mile deliveries.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, allocate and manage the day-to-day linehaul scheduling and local final mile deliveries.
  • Coordinate with drivers and sites to meet delivery and pickup slots.
  • Think fast on your feet and resolve issues as they arise, while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Be mindful of costs and run the fleet in the most efficient and effective manner, considering driver well-being and requirements.
  • Notice and improve processes and procedures to enhance customer service for clients and drivers.
  • Maintain maintenance awareness and liaise with workshop staff to keep equipment compliant and clean.
  • Engage in driver training and inductions, toolbox meetings, and general administrative work (e.g., NHVR liaison, responding to NTPs, managing NCRs).
  • Maintain client portals with up-to-date driver information.
Qualifications
  • At least 2+ years of knowledge and experience in a similar role.
  • A strong understanding of BFM and the ability to undertake training to obtain TLIF0006 "Administer a fatigue risk management system" certificate.
  • A strong understanding of CoR requirements / law and responsibilities as a scheduler to meet fatigue, speed, maintenance, mass and D&L requirements.
  • Fantastic communication skills.
  • Proficiency in web-based transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office products.
