The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Site Safety Officer to join our Project Delivery team.
This role full-time for a 18-month fixed term, with the potential for extension or a permanent role.If you are a motivated and experienced safety expert who enjoys the autonomy and challenge of overseeing a large, complex site then we would love to hear from you.We offer:Generous salary + superProgressive and innovative global company experiencing high growthEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramSalary packagingCorporate discounts on car rentals and IT products/accessoriesPaid Parental Leave + super – 12 weeks for primary carer/2 weeks secondary carerStudy Assistance & career development opportunitiesFitness Passport - discounted access to a wide network of gyms and pools to help you & your family stay active and healthyExclusive health cover via Medibank – 9% discount on corporate health plans designed to fit every lifestyle, life stage, and budget.Tasks and Qualifications:Key ResponsibilitiesProvide WHSE advisory services, working collaboratively with the Project Delivery team and external stakeholders to influence a positive safety cultureAssist the project team with safe management of subcontractor activitiesAssist in the continuous improvement and ongoing implementation of WHSE management systemUndertake site inspections, conduct safety audits, attend site safety committee meetings and make recommendations for continuous improvementDrive safety toolbox talks and site-based safety inductionsAbout You - What We Are Looking ForSuccessful candidates will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:Diploma or above in Work Health & Safety (WHSE)At least 3 years experience on construction or project sites in a similar roleStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude with knowledge of material handling equipment highly desirableStrong computer skills in MS office productsGood understanding of safe work practices for Working at Heights, Isolation of Energy, Electrical Safety, Mobile Plant, Powered Industrial trucks, Hot Works, Lifting & Rigging and PPESound working knowledge of WHSE legislation and codes of practice and experience in completing WHSE auditsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to travel if requiredHow To ApplyIf you would like to apply for the above position, please click on the 'Apply' button.
