Tours and outreach programs are a key component of our community engagement strategy. As a highly motivated and resilient Legislative Assembly Engagement Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in promoting the role of Parliament through various tours and outreach initiatives.

The Tours and Customer Service unit sits within the Department of the Legislative Assembly, providing support to the Assembly Chamber on sitting days. The unit's primary function is to deliver community engagement programs, particularly tours and outreach programs for school students. When Parliament is in session, the unit provides additional support to the Assembly Chamber.

Your key responsibilities as a Legislative Assembly Engagement Coordinator will include leading tours and role-plays at Parliament House, attending regional and metropolitan visits as required, and providing impartial support and customer service to a range of stakeholders. You will also be responsible for assisting with the operation of the Assembly Chamber on sitting days.

To be successful in this position, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Your strong customer focus will be essential in dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders from community groups, school personnel and students to Members of Parliament.
