We deploy code to production multiple times a day.Requirements:As a software engineering team lead you will report directly to the VP of Engineering and will lead an engineering team to achieve their very best.
You will:Build and maintain a high performance software engineering teamDevelop solutions, define delivery goals and lead teams to achieve them within agreed timelinesNurture a strong ownership mindset and willingness to drive outcomesCommunicate effectively with stakeholders business-wideProvide leadership, training and mentoring to other software engineersWork effectively with product managers and other teams to achieve the best outcomes given a number of constraintsCultivate a healthy team culture centred on company valuesRequired experience:5+ years experience building modern large scale web applicationsExperience leading an engineering teamExperience working in an agile environment, moving fast and continuously shippingGood written and verbal communication skillsTrack record of strong ownership and ability to self-manage workStrong creative problem-solving and troubleshooting abilityExcellent technical skills, we expect you can engage with our senior architects to contribute to technical plans and designsTertiary Degree in Computer Science / Engineering (or related); MSc or PhD a plusNice to haves:Extensive experience managing multiple software engineering teamsHands on experience across end-to-end technology stack (infra, database, integration, networking, front-end and back-end application development)Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred)Experience with SOA, microservice and containerisation architectureExperience with modern Javascript frameworks, such as Angular, React or VueExperience with Python, Go, PHP, .
