Software Engineering Team Lead

The Software Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for leading and managing a team of software developers to deliver the company's product and technology roadmap.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and coach software development teams.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance engineering culture.
- Translate the product/technology roadmap into actionable engineering plans.
- Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle — planning, execution, deployment, and post-release support.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
- Provide architectural guidance across software systems.
- Ensure best practices in code quality, design patterns, testing, and security.
- Partner with architects and senior engineers to evolve system architecture and scalability.
- Work closely with Product Managers to refine requirements and prioritize backlog.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Security teams to streamline delivery pipelines.
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
- Implement agile/scrum practices for planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and tooling.
- Ensure effective incident management and root cause analysis.
- Proven experience managing software development teams delivering complex applications.
- Strong understanding of software architectures, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
- Hands-on coding/architectural background (PHP frameworks, Java/Spring Boot).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud (AWS).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership/management role.
- Track record of delivering complex software projects in an agile environment.
